Introduction
Hey, I’m Sean — founder of Sledge and Forge Fitness and someone who knows all too well how hard it is to stay active while juggling a demanding desk job.
After spending nearly a decade in corporate America, I realized how much I craved time outdoors and how hard it was to squeeze in a workout that actually felt good. Between long commutes, packed schedules, and harsh Boston winters, finding time to train — let alone train outside — felt nearly impossible.
That’s why I built Sledge and Forge Fitness: an outdoor fitness space where you can get strong, have fun, and reconnect with movement in the fresh air.
I’ve been strength training for over 15 years and coaching for the last 5. My passion lies in functional fitness — the kind that helps you move better, feel better, and live stronger in the real world. Think sledgehammers, kettlebells, barbell work, and bodyweight movements, all blended into workouts that are challenging, energizing, and actually enjoyable.
Whether you’re brand new to fitness or looking for something different than the typical gym grind, I’m here to help you build strength, confidence, and momentum — outside, where it feels real.
Let’s train.

I’m able to keep costs low because I don’t pay expensive rent for a gym space, while still giving you access to the same high-quality equipment and the added benefits of training outdoors.Functional Fitness
This is all about training for real life — building strength, mobility, and endurance through movements that carry over beyond the gym. We use a mix of tools like maces, sledge hammers, kettlebells, dumbbells, and barbells, bands, and more to challenge your body in dynamic ways. The goal: help you move better, feel stronger, and look great doing it.Training in the Great Outdoors
